Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has been met with mixed reviews from critics and fans. While the film is full of fan service, and is filled with Easter eggs, cameos and throwbacks, some fans were unsure of the plot and the pacing. Do Rey and Kylo Ren get together in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker?
Fans of Reylo have reason to get very excited indeed, as there is plenty of Kylo Ren and Rey battling in the movie.
The film starts with Kylo Ren on a rampage to find the lair of the evil Emperor Palpatine, and soon begins to track Rey on her journey to do the same.
He tracks her to various planets, destroying cities and hurting civilians along the way, but as the pair are still connected, Kylo can try to convince Rey to come to the Dark Side, even by revealing where she truly comes from.

Kylo is desperate for her to “take his hand,” and join him in the Sith, and so destroys the only way she can find Palpatine, meaning she must join him on the Dark Side.
After a huge fight, and a major intervention from Kylo’s parents through the Force and memory, he chooses to turn into Ben Solo and go to help Rey defeat Palpatine.
As Rey arrives with Palpatine, she senses Kylo’s presence, and passes him a lightsaber using The Force.
The pair fight and though at one point it looks as though Palpatine is the victor, this ends quickly as Rey uses all the Jedi power to defeat him.
Ben climbs back to find her, and returns her favour from earlier by healing her, after which the pair embrace and kiss.
But their romance is short-lived and almost immediately, Ben collapses and fades away, as the Force has left him.
Rey is heartbroken, but returns to the Resistance and embraces her friends Finn and Poe, triumphant after the Sith have finally been defeated.
While many aspects of the film are throwbacks, including some epic cameos, this is something fans have been desperate to see.

And a beautiful Reylo moment is absolutely one of these things.
But there was more for fans to feast on – including the return of Harrison Ford as Han Solo.
As mentioned, Kylo turns back into Ben Solo after intervention from his parents.
Leia (Carrie Fisher) tries to use The Force to speak to him, which distracts him from fighting Rey.
Following this, he is staring out into the distance when the memory of his father visits him, and they have a heartwarming moment.
Fans will be utterly delighted with the story arc for both Rey and Kylo Ren, and hopefully their bittersweet ending is exactly what the fans want.
But those who wanted to see them run off into the sunset may be slightly disappointed.
